Lola brings to the table 10 years of corporate brand management, marketing and finance experience plus 25+ years of vast and varied business experience as a successful business consultant and mentor. Her strong relationship building, probing and problem-solving skills have been instrumental in helping CEOs attain their unique path to personal and business success.

Lola’s passion for helping CEOs began with her small and mid-sized business (SMB) consulting experience at Grant Thornton and led to progressive roles winning the coveted Small Business Counselor of the Year by the Michigan Small Business Administration (SBA) in 2011. “As a Small and Mid-Sized (SMB) Consultant, I defy the status quo, “Lola says. “My clients’ successes are of paramount importance to me and are what make me tick. I set the bar very high for myself and believe my clients should too.”

The former Center Director/Supervisor for the Oakland County One Stop Business Center, Lola is an architect of how the County cultivated business by providing a single location for small business resources.

During her 5 Year tenure at Oakland County, she assembled 8+ groups of non-competing CEOs for their Venture Forward business growth series. CEOs came together weekly to learn tools to scale their businesses, work through and resolve ongoing business issues. Lola was instrumental in educating and mentoring business owners from pre-startups to existing multi-million-dollar companies.

Through the revenue generated from her basic and advanced business workshops she was able to obtain additional staffing resources to augment her team at a time when Oakland County was experiencing a hiring freeze. “I am a problem-solver,” Lola says. “I believe I need to help my clients articulate what keeps them up at night and ultimately help them utilize the collective brain power of their teams to work through and resolve those issues. I just happen to expose them to the right environment to resolve their work and life issues and free up the path for them to move forward and positively impact their bottom line.”

Currently, Lola is Principal Consultant at Strategic Thinktank, Inc. Her company helps businesses scale and also engages in exit planning.

Lola received her MBA with concentrations in Marketing and Finance from The University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in Ann Arbor and a BBA with a minor in Economics from The University of Michigan – Flint. Lola is a lifetime member of the Ross School of Business Alumni Association, graduate of Leadership Oakland XVIII, and for the last 17 years has been an active participant on one of the Great Lakes Women’s Business Enterprise Council’s committees. She is also treasurer and board member of her Condominium association.
